Having worked closely with children in both mainstream and SEN schools over the last decade, I’m passionate about supporting children’s development and meeting them where they are, understanding their individual ways of processing and communicating so they can truly thrive.

Consistently , I’ve seen how having a creative outlet offers regulation and so much more. It builds patience, focus, observation and problem solving whilst providing children a way to process emotions and experiences. When they are engaged in art, or making something for someone else, they feel a real sense of achievement and of being seen. It builds belonging and connection.

Bring your little one to a relaxed, creative session at Apple Tree Childrens Cafe in Peckham Rye. This class is designed for an adult and child to explore art together through hands on, age appropriate activities that encourage fine motor skills, sensory development, and imaginative play.

What to expect

  • Professional guidance: I will lead and guide a 45 minute class through art techniques to learn and make a fun art piece.

  • Held at Appletree Cafe so perfect for all you and your childs needs.

  • Shared creative time: Adults participate alongside their child to model techniques, assist when needed, and build confidence.

  • Each child leaves with their own artwork.

Typical session outline

  • 15 minutes to settle in, purchase drinks and snacks during this time.

  • 45 minute Art class.

  • 30 minutes play and wind down.

What to bring

  • Clothes that can get messy. Changing facilities and bathrooms are available.
